Black Lab Puppy Wins Over Police Department
A 10-week-old puppy, Blue, joined the Tiverton police force in Rhode Island. This pup quickly won over the hearts of the officers and social media. He's the inaugural comfort and therapy dog on the force. Since joining, he's met all the police officers and firefighters, toured city hall, visited the students at the high school, and even treated himself to a few pup cups at Starbucks.

All of the pup's adventures are captured on his social media. It's a great way to connect the police department with the community. Blue wins over everyone he meets and we cannot wait to follow along for all of his future adventures.

Keeping Up With Your Pup
Maintaining good health is not only essential for one's well-being but also crucial for keeping up with the energy and enthusiasm of our beloved canine companions. Dogs are known for their boundless vitality and unwavering spirit, often serving as a source of motivation for their human counterparts to stay active and healthy.

Regular exercise and a balanced diet not only contribute to physical fitness but also foster a strong bond between humans and their canine friends. By prioritizing our health and wellness, we can ensure that we have the endurance and vitality necessary to partake in various activities with our furry companions, fostering a mutually beneficial and joyous relationship that enriches both our lives and theirs.

Another way to stay on top of your health is with the help of beneficial supplements like collagen. Collagen, a vital protein found in our bodies, is responsible for supporting skin elasticity, joint health, and muscle strength. Collagen supplements offer various benefits, including promoting skin hydration and reducing the appearance of wrinkles, supporting joint flexibility and reducing joint pain, and aiding in muscle recovery and strengthening. By replenishing the body's natural collagen levels, these supplements can contribute to overall wellness and help maintain a youthful appearance and active lifestyle.

Did you know that collagen is the body's most abundant protein? NativePath's Certified Grass-Fed Collagen Powder is made from grass-fed, pasture-raised cows and contains 18 grams of protein per suggested serving. Start incorporating it daily to support skin elasticity, joint health, bone strength, and muscle growth and maintenance. Get 55% off your first order here.

You'll need: 3 ½ cups of whole wheat flour, one teaspoon of baking powder, one cup of shredded cooked turkey, one cup of dried cranberries, one egg, one tablespoon of olive oil, and one cup of low-sodium chicken broth
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheets (or use parchment paper.)
  2. Whisk the whole wheat flour and baking powder together until thoroughly combined. Stir in turkey and cranberries.
  3. Make a well in the middle of the mixture and drop the egg into the center. Pour in olive oil and about ½ cup of chicken broth. Add a little broth in at a time until the dough is a good consistency.
  4. Knead the dough for one to two minutes. Roll it out and use cookie cutters to cut out shapes.

Tips for Hiking With Your Dog
Hiking is a great way to connect with your dog. It's great exercise for both of you and allows them to do many of their favorite activities, including sniffing, exploring, and spending time with their favorite person. If you are interested in trying hiking with your dog, there are a few important things to note.

Tips for hiking with your dog:
  • Know the rules. Not all trails are dog-friendly. Check the websites and posted signs to ensure your dog is allowed to tag along with you on trails. Apps like AllTrails allow you to filter for dog-friendly trails.
  • Read the trail description. It's important to know what you're getting into and make sure that you feel prepared to hit the trail. Check the distance and elevation gain.
  • Be prepared for hazards on the trail. Read reviews on the trail to have an idea of how to prepare. You might be in bear country and need to have bear spray. You may also be on a trail that is used by mountain bikers, and it's good to know what to watch out for.
  • Check the weather. You don't want to be stranded in a storm, so check the forecast, and if things look questionable, wait for a better day.
  • Pack the right supplies. Bring a backpack, and make sure to pack water, poop bags, snacks, and a first aid kit. If you are doing a longer hike, you'll need quite a bit more to be prepared.
  • Look for hikes with natural water sources. Water gives your dogs a place to cool off and rehydrate. If you have a dog that loves swimming, this can be extra fun for them.
  • Practice trail etiquette. It's best to keep your dog leashed on hikes, especially when they are busy or have wildlife in the area. You never know if you'll run into someone with a heavy pack, so keeping your dogs near you is best. It's also important to pack out everything and leave no trace behind.
