William might have everyone beat, though. He's a two-year-old Dachshund with a special perch to hang out in beside his dad, Andrew Mueller. Mueller is the founder and CEO of SeatMate, a company that is devoted to creating the perfect place for your pet to hang out while you're working. William hangs out on a two-seat chair so that Andrew can get some work done without having to be far from his friend. Many breeds like to sit on top of their humans at all times, so his chair allows people to get work done without banishing the dog to the couch or a different room. The first prototype was built in Mueller's dad's garage, and the passion project grew from there. A new and updated model will be available starting in the summer of 2024, and Willie himself tests each version. You can purchase the attachment, which works with most standard office chairs, or the full set. Get on the wait list if you think this is just the office accessory you need. | | Tasty Holiday Dishes For You And Your Pup! It's like they are responding to your questions and conversation. There are quite a few theories from veterinarians and scientists. Some think it's a way for dogs to show that they are engaged, similar to a nod from a human. Recent studies have shown that it could be a sign that your dog is trying to understand you better. Many animals use the different sides of their brains to process information. Dogs will sometimes wag their tail to one side more often or sniff more out of one nostril than the other. Some scientists believe that it's the same asymmetry that causes them to tilt their heads when thinking. Another reason that scientists believe dogs may tilt their heads is to see and hear a little better or from a different angle. Many species move to respond to sounds or stimuli in their environment. Hopefully,e more studies will be done in the future to help us learn even more about this adorable behavioral trait. | | Image courtesy of Discover Weekly | | Happy Holidays!🎁 Make memories of a lifetime with Daily Dig's very own Revel Holiday Gift Guide!
