A family in Burke, Virginia, was really surprised when a different dog came home to them after doggy daycare. They brought their golden retriever, Ehmi, to dog daycare and opted for a haircut and grooming appointment. The couple's son picked up the dog at the end of the day, and they noticed that the pup was acting strange.
The golden retriever was no longer in love with the next-door neighbor and had started licking faces. The dog started to pant heavily and act a bit anxious. They took the dog to the emergency vet. Thankfully, the vet checked the dog's microchip, and the couple quickly discovered that it was not their dog, Ehmi.
The dogs were instantly reunited with their true owners. The couple doesn't fault the dog daycare because the dogs really are identical. It's a great reminder to get your dog microchipped. You never know when it will come in handy.
