This Arctic Dog is the Cutest Mailman
This is Grim, and he lives in Svalbard. Not only does he get to enjoy the beautiful scenery of his home, but he also is able to help his owner deliver goods to the neighbors as the mailman. She simply ties things to his collar and sends him on the way. The neighbor calls for him, and he makes his way directly to their door. It's quite an adorable system.

Do(g)-It-Yourself Interactive Feeding Toy
Dogs love to have some mental stimulation. One of the best ways to engage them is by using food as a reward. Interactive feeders will keep your dog busy and working for their dinner, while providing them with tons of fun. While there are plenty that you can purchase, you can also try making your own with these instructions.

PVC Interactive Feeder
You'll need: 1 ¼ inch PVC pipe, 1 ¼ inch PVC caps, a drill, a ½ inch drill bit, sandpaper, and a rat-tail file.
  1. Cut the PVC pipe to the lengths that you want. Popular choices are six and 12 inches.
  2. Use the ½ inch paddle bit to drill holes in the PVC. Make sure the holes are big enough for the kibble to fall out.
  3. Sand down the rough edges of the newly created holes with the rat-tail files. You can wrap sandpaper around a screwdriver if you don't have one.
  4. Wash all the pieces with soapy water.
  5. Fit the caps to the ends of each side of the toy.
  6. Fill the toy with kibble when you're ready to test it out. Keep an eye on your pup the first time.

What We're Digging
If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That's why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a "joint within a gummy", that's extremely potent yet federally legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body's endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid-onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

Important Information on Dog Obesity
Pet obesity is the number one most preventable medical condition. It's estimated that 50% of pets in North America are considered overweight. Obesity occurs when a dog accumulates too much fat. There are three leading causes of obesity: diet, lack of exercise, and genetic tendencies. If you keep an eye on diet and exercise throughout your dog's life, you'll likely be able to avoid any issues.

Clean, nutritious diets are a priority. Dogs are carnivores and shouldn't be snacking on too many biscuits or treats. Dogs have evolved from wolves and still possess a similar metabolism where they can take proteins and convert them to muscle and energy.

Dogs should maintain an active lifestyle. They should receive walks a few times each day and opportunities as much as possible where they can run for extended distances to get their heart pumping, blood flowing, and their metabolism working efficiently.

Biology is another factor. Some breeds, like labradors, pugs, and rottweilers, are more likely to struggle with obesity. You can talk to your vet about specific ingredients in food that will help prevent fat build-up. Keep your dogs active and on a healthy diet to help them live longer.
