Darth Vader Even Terrifies Dogs
The music of Star Wars is incredibly powerful, and Darth Vader is one of the best villains of all time. This dog couldn't agree more. As the evil character comes onto the screen, you can see the dog's reaction, which ends with him hiding behind the couch. So relatable. Hopefully, the dog kept watching and got to enjoy the rest of the movie.

New Record-Setting Canine Tongue
We recently shared the Guinness World Record holder for the longest tongue on a dog, Bisbee. That record has been broken. Zoey is a Labrador-German Shepherd mix from Louisiana and now holds the record for the "longest tongue on a living dog." Zoey's tongue is 5 inches long, which is about 1.2 inches longer than the previous record holder.

Zoey's owners said that when they got her as a six-week-old puppy, her tongue just constantly stuck out. They thought she might grow out of it, but it grew with her. She loves showing off her tongue with a little slobber. When she's tired from her favorite activities, including chasing squirrels, playing fetch, and swimming, it's the best time to see just how long her tongue is.

These Five Breeds Love the Water
Plenty of dogs love to play in the water, but a few breeds were specifically developed to hunt and work in the water over time. These breeds are strong swimmers, have water-repellant coats, and some even have webbed feet to make them faster in water.

Here are five water breeds:
  1. Labrador Retriever - This breed was first developed as a duck-hunting dog. They were sent out to retrieve the birds in the water. They are very active and make great family dogs.
  2. Newfoundland - With partially webbed feet, this breed has historically helped with water rescues and retrieving fishing nets in the North Atlantic waters. Their thick coat helps keep them warm in the cold water.
  3. Chesapeake Bay Retriever - These dogs have an oily waterproof coat that allows them to glide through the water and keep them warm. Webbed feet allow them to move quickly. They are popular with hunters.
  4. Standard Poodle - This might surprise many people, but poodles are born and bred water dogs. Their famous haircuts are actually to help provide protection and warmth over their joints and vital organs.
  5. Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever - Another game bird hunter, these smaller retrievers are agile and very high-energy. They are famous for their unique vocalizations.

Did You Know:
Answer: Not really. A dog most likely interprets a smiling person as baring their teeth, which is an act of aggression.
