Jimmy Buffett Leaves a Tribute to His Dogs
Jimmy Buffett passed away last summer, but he left his fans (known as parrot heads) with a special tribute to his dogs. Buffet was a proud pet parent. He had dogs Ajax, Kingston, Kody, Lola, Pepper, and Rosie, all of whom were listed as his family members in his obituary.

In the song, "Like My Dog," he shares his appreciation for the love he receives from his incredible pups. The lyrics say, "I want you to love me like my dog does, baby. When I come home, want you to just go crazy." We all know how good it feels when you're greeted by your dog at the door. The song was also released with a video that features clips of Buffett and his beloved dogs.

The music video was made in collaboration with the ASPCA to help raise awareness for the organization's work and the benefits of adopting dogs. You can see the musician playing with his dogs, but there are also clips of fans who submitted their favorite dog videos. Jimmy Buffett's legacy lives on with his love for animals.

Natural Light Is Good For Your Pup!
Natural light plays a crucial role in regulating not only human but also canine circadian rhythms. Dogs, like humans, have an internal body clock that regulates their sleep-wake cycle, hormone production, and overall well-being. The exposure to natural light, particularly through windows, significantly impacts these rhythms.

When dogs are exposed to natural light during the day, it helps synchronize their internal clock with the external environment. This synchronization is vital for maintaining a healthy sleep-wake cycle and promoting optimal functioning of various physiological processes. Just like humans, dogs may experience disruptions in their circadian rhythms if they lack exposure to natural light or if their exposure is irregular.

Windows serve as portals through which natural light enters our homes and affects our pets. Ensuring that dogs have access to well-lit areas during the day can help regulate their circadian rhythms. However, it's essential to strike a balance, as excessive exposure to sunlight, especially through windows, can also lead to overheating and discomfort for dogs, particularly during hot weather.

In conclusion, the natural light that filters through windows has a significant impact on dogs' circadian rhythms. Providing adequate exposure to natural light during the day can help regulate their internal body clocks, promoting better sleep quality, hormone regulation, and overall health and well-being. As responsible pet owners, it's crucial to consider the role of natural light in our dogs' lives and ensure they have access to appropriate lighting conditions for their optimal health.

A Van Life Dog's Morning Routine
Van life has become a popular lifestyle for remote workers in recent years, but have you ever wondered what the routine looks like for a dog who lives on the road? Courtnie and Nate have been sharing van life videos for a few years, and they put together a quick morning routine video about their pup, Tonkins.

Tonkins gets up in the morning and watches while the bed is made, and clean-up happens. Then, he heads to the beach (definitely Jimmy Buffet-approved) for some playtime, exercise, and doing his potty business. One of the perks of van life is the ability to park near beautiful places. Breakfast comes next, and then Tonkins settles in for some sunshine and people-watching. We can't help but be a little jealous of this wonderful routine.

Relaxation Tips For Anxious Pups
Anxiety in dogs is a common issue that can affect their overall well-being and quality of life. While some level of anxiety is normal, excessive or chronic anxiety can be detrimental to a dog's mental health. Fortunately, there are several training tips and strategies that can help anxious dogs find mental relaxation and calmness.

Firstly, it's essential to create a safe and secure environment for your dog. Provide a designated "safe space" where your dog can retreat when feeling anxious. This could be a cozy crate or a quiet corner with their favorite blanket or toy.

Implementing positive reinforcement training techniques can also be effective in reducing anxiety. Use rewards such as treats, praise, or playtime to reinforce calm behaviors and desensitize your dog to anxiety triggers gradually.

Additionally, practicing relaxation exercises such as deep breathing and muscle relaxation can help dogs manage their anxiety. Encourage your dog to take deep breaths with you and reward them for remaining calm during these exercises.

Regular exercise and mental stimulation are crucial for reducing anxiety in dogs. Engage your dog in activities they enjoy, such as interactive games, puzzle toys, or sniffing exercises, to keep their minds occupied and reduce stress.

Lastly, consider seeking professional help from a certified dog trainer or behaviorist if your dog's anxiety persists despite your efforts. They can provide personalized training plans and additional support to help your dog overcome their anxiety and find mental relaxation.

By implementing these training tips and strategies consistently, you can help your anxious dog learn to relax and enjoy a happier, calmer life.
For When You Need To Relax
If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That's why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a "joint within a gummy" that's extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body's endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990's, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid-onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!
