Did You Know...?
What is the most popular dog breed in Nashville (and also the state of Tennessee)?

(scroll to the bottom to find the answer!)
Country Music Stars Have Adorable Dogs
Taylor Swift is famously a cat lady, but many country stars have dogs that they are completely in love with. Blake Shelton loves to incorporate dogs into his songs. He has a dog named Betty. Kelsea Ballerini is another proud dog owner with a little guy named Dibs. She was worried when she got married that Dibs would love her husband more than her. She even wrote about him in her song, "Penthouse."

Thomas Rhett has two dogs, Kona and Cash. Kane Brown shares two German Shepherds and a bulldog named Rambo with his wife and two daughters. Miranda Lambert might take the crown for having the most dogs with seven rescue pups: JD, Bellamy, Cher, Delta Dawn, Thelma, Louise, and Roe. Other country stars with pups include Maren Morris, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Carly Pearce, and many more.
What Kind of Music Helps Calm a Dog
Music can help calm down people and create a peaceful environment, but does it have the same impact on dogs? Many studies have been done on the effects of music on the brains of animals. Certain vibrations and tones can influence emotions, and music can help drown out sounds that may cause anxiety, like thunderstorms.

If you want to help your pup in stressful moments, consider playing classical music. The specific tempo should be around 50-60 beats per minute. Great playlists are available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.

There is also music that has the opposite effect. If you play metal or rap music, it can increase the dog's anxiety and lead to more barking and stress. So, prep a playlist and help your dog relax during the next storm.
