Have you read any of these? Pick them up from your local library and enjoy a dog-centric reading afternoon. | | How Hot is Too Hot to Leave a Dog in the Car? It's the time of year for that extremely important reminder about dogs in cars when the temperatures are higher. According to PETA, a 70-degree day can turn a parked car into an oven, with interior temps reaching 99 degrees in just 20 minutes. On a 90-degree day, the temps can reach 109 in just ten minutes. Cracked windows do not help the interior temperature enough. Don't bring your dog along with you in the car unless you can bring them with you into buildings or wherever you're going. Utilize doggy daycares or leave them at home so you never have to leave them in the car. If you see a dog locked in a car, call the local authorities immediately. | | This New Toilet Paper Just Might Save the Planet Every 24 hours, 27,000 trees are cut down to make toilet paper. To us, that feels like way too many — and Honeycomb agrees. That's why this small, female-founded brand created luxury, three-ply toilet tissue made from bamboo. It feels just like regular high-end toilet paper, but doesn't harm trees. So why bamboo? It's the fastest-growing plant in the world — growing 100 times faster than the average tree — which means thousands of rolls can be produced in the time it takes for a single tree to grow back. Ready to help save the planet? New customers can use code DIG30 to get 30% off their first order until midnight.
