| | "The best way to learn how to enjoy life is from a dog." - Nils Sandmann | | Happy Monday! Here's the scoop: | | Did You Know...? Some Australians say that "the country was built on the back of" which breed? (scroll to the bottom to find the answer!) | | | After Seven Years, This Dog Finds the Perfect Match It's hard not to feel for any dog who is currently in a shelter, and we here at Daily Dig desperately want them all to find comfortable and happy homes. This was especially true for a dog named Ella in Pennsylvania. Ella was the longest resident at the Animal Resource Center. She arrived at the shelter when she was just five months old. Over the years, several families adopted her but then had to return her for various reasons. Seven years later, her moment finally came. Ella is a pit bull and has fear aggression, so it would take multiple visits for her to get comfortable with people. When Kaitlyn walked in, it was a different story. They think that Ella knew right away that this person was special. Ella approached Kaitlyn immediately and had zero hesitation about receiving love and pets from her. The instant reaction was mutual. Kaitlyn noticed Ella was wearing her late dog's bandana that she had donated to the shelter. It felt like her dog, Jo, was giving her stamp of approval. The staff was all in tears knowing that they would miss her, but so happy that she found her forever home. It's always a beautiful story when a human and a dog find companionship in one another. Clearly, this pair was truly meant to be together. | | Image courtesy of Dog Time | | The Importance Of Flea, Tick and Heartworm Prevention Did you know that vets recommend flea, tick, and heartworm prevention for pups all year round?
