Did You Know...?
What is it about peanut butter that dogs love the most?

(scroll to the bottom to find the answer!)
This Dog Becomes a Shark Around Peanut Butter
Hazel is a three-month-old Great Dane who hasn't quite learned the easiest way to lick peanut butter off a spoon. It's a special treat that she gets when she's behaved well, but she rushes so fast to lick the spoon that it has made her go viral. It appears that she almost eats the entire spoon. Her eyes get huge when she sees the spoon come out.

Nicole is Hazel's owner, and she compares the dog to a Great White Shark. If you want to treat your dog like Hazel, just make sure you choose peanut butter that doesn't contain the toxic ingredient xylitol.
Surprising Household Products That May Contain Toxic Xylitol
Xylitol is an artificial sweetener that is toxic to dogs. Knowing what might contain this ingredient can help keep your dog safe in your home and prevent any poison from being ingested. Check these items if you have them in your home, and keep this list somewhere to revisit it and stay aware.
  1. Packaged goods and baking mixes like Jell-O, pudding mixes, ice cream, and even yogurt
  2. Candies, gum, and mints that might be in your purse or left out
  3. Jams, syrups, condiments, honey, and raw xylitol, especially anything sugar-free
  4. Protein bars and powders
  5. Flavored waters and drink powders
  6. Chocolate of any kind, but especially dark chocolate
  7. Peanut butter and nut butter might have this as a lighter sugar replacement
  8. Dental products for humans, usually the ones that might have a sweet, minty taste
  9. Medicines, vitamins, and supplements
  10. Cosmetics, body, face, and hair products
  11. Other miscellaneous items might have chemicals like cleaners, wipes, and even certain athletic clothing brands.
If you have concerns that your dog has gotten into something dangerous, call the vet right away. Being aware of what toxins are in your home can help you keep it a safe place for your pets.
Our Top 3 Ways To Tire Out Restless Dogs
  1. Long Walks or Hikes: Take your dog for a long walk or hike in a new or stimulating environment. Dogs love exploring new scents and sights, and the physical activity will help tire them out mentally and physically.

  2. Interactive Toys or Puzzle Games: Invest in interactive toys or puzzle games designed for dogs. These toys often require mental stimulation and problem-solving skills, which can be just as tiring for your dog as physical exercise. Hide treats in puzzle toys or use toys that dispense treats when manipulated, encouraging your dog to play and engage with the toy.

  3. Agility Training or Obstacle Courses: Set up a mini agility course or obstacle course in your backyard or a nearby park. Use items like cones, tunnels, jumps, and weave poles to create challenges for your dog to navigate. Not only does agility training provide physical exercise, but it also engages your dog's mind as they learn to navigate the course and follow your commands.

Simple Peanut Butter Treats for Dogs
Once you've found dog-safe peanut butter, you'll have a perfect excuse to make your dog some of these easy homemade treats. Dogs will love special cookies, even if there's no special occasion.

Peanut Butter Treats
You'll need: two cups of whole wheat flour, ½ cup of natural peanut butter (obviously with no xylitol), two eggs, and ¼ cup of water
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Combine flour, eggs, and peanut butter in a large bowl. Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough forms a large ball.
  3. Roll out the dough on a clean, floured surface until it's about ¼ inches thick. Using cookie cutters, cut it into individual treats.
  4. Place treats onto a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Take it out and let it cool before giving it to your pups.

5 Reasons Dogs Put Us In A Good Mood
  1. Unconditional Love: Dogs offer unwavering loyalty and companionship, easing loneliness and boosting our mood with their affectionate greetings.

  2. Physical Activity: They motivate us to stay active through walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures, promoting better health and releasing feel-good endorphins.

  3. Stress Reduction: Interacting with dogs lowers stress levels, relaxes us, and increases the production of calming hormones like oxytocin and serotonin.

  4. Social Connections: Dogs facilitate social interactions, creating opportunities for bonding and friendships with other dog owners and animal lovers.

  5. Sense of Purpose: Caring for a dog gives us a sense of responsibility, establishing routines, nurturing skills, and providing a fulfilling sense of purpose.

Another Way To Boost Your Mood
If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That's why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a "joint within a gummy" that's extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body's endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990's, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!
