Recipe: Do(g)-It-Yourself Calming Cookies
The dog and human duo behind Master Bowie create drool-worthy recipes that are both dog-friendly and promote canine health. Many situations can add some extra stress for dogs, like fireworks, gatherings, road trips, and more. One popular recipe from Master Bowie are calming cookies, which can help take the edge off. Plus, they are human-friendly, so you can share them with your dog.

Master Bowie's Calming Cookies
You'll need: 1 cup of rolled oats, ½ cup of almond flour/meal, 1 tsp of dry loose chamomile tea, 1 tbsp of honey, 1 tbsp of almond/peanut butter, 1 tbsp of flaxseed meal, 1 tbsp of room temperature water, a pinch of Himalayan salt, and organic dried goji berries (chopped).
  1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
  2. Mix the flaxseed meal with water and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Blend oats in a food processor on high speed until they become finely ground.
  4. Add almond flour/meal, chamomile tea, salt, and pulse.
  5. Add the honey, almond/peanut butter, flaxseed mixture, and a calming blend dog supplement if you want. Blend on a low speed until the mixture is like dough.
  6. Roll 1-2 tbsp of the dough into a ball (add in a goji berry or two) and place it on a tray lined with baking paper. Press the ball into a cookie shape.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
