A French Fry Thief
French fries are a delightful snack for everyone. This pup knows it and waits for the perfect opportunity to sneak a french fry over the top. When his owner leaves the room, he takes a quick snack, and the camera has the perfect angle to capture every move. The video is so relatable!
Dog of the Day: Meet Zena
Our reader Kathy sent in her adorable English Labrador Retriever, Zena, for this week's dog of the day feature. In the photo, she is only 12 weeks old. We love a puppy photo! Kathy describes the pup as adorable and feisty. Thanks for sharing!

Places to Bring Your Dog Leaf Peeping This Year
Autumn is the perfect time to take a little road trip and witness the beautiful fall colors around the country. If you are planning a leaf-peeping trip this year, check out some of these dog-friendly sites you can bring your canine companion along to.
  • Hudson Valley and the Catskills in New York - Catskill Park is open to hikers and their dogs, and there are hundreds of miles of trails and peaks to explore. There are even dog-friendly apple orchards to pick some apples and enjoy the season's flavors!
  • Eastern Sierras in California - Route 395 is one of the most scenic routes in California. Mountain peaks, rugged canyons, rushing streams, and colorful trees line this road. This region has many dog-friendly hiking trails and hotels to check out.
  • Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina - This scenic drive is famous for its beautiful scenery in the fall months. Bring the pups along on the road and explore the dog-loving town of Asheville and the grounds of the Biltmore Estate.
  • Acadia National Park in Maine - This is one of the only dog-friendly parks where leashed pups can hit the hiking trails. Watch the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain and enjoy the park, or stop into one of the dog-friendly restaurants in the nearby waterfront town of Bar Harbor.
  • Columbia River Gorge in Oregon - The Columbia River Highway cuts through the 70-mile-long river gorge. The fall colors are spectacular, and you can explore dozens of waterfalls. Take the detour for Hood River County's Fruit Loop to visit wineries and orchards with your pup.
  • Vermont - This entire state is incredible in the fall. Plus, if you visit in early October, you can attend DogFest, which is held annually at Dog Mountain. Look for a paw symbol on the list of Vermont breweries to know which ones are dog-friendly.
  • Texas Hill Country - This region of Texas has many natural springs and beautiful fall colors. Let your dog swim in the Inks State Lake Park and enjoy the many pet-friendly accommodations.
