Dog Provides a Helping Hand (or Mouth)
This video features a dog duo that loves the water. When the smaller pup floats off on the paddleboard, the other pup is happy to jump in and grab the rope to pull the other back to shore. It's great to see the pups helping each other while enjoying some splash time!

The Most Expensive Dog Breeds
Every dog breed comes with its own unique benefits and challenges. When it comes to determining which dogs are the most expensive, it's about more than just how much it costs to bring them home. Some pups require additional training or specialized care that can add up in the long run. Having clear expectations regarding cost is important so you aren't surprised once you've fallen in love with a dog.

You can't predict the exact amount a dog will cost, but you can prepare yourself for some of the most common costs and plan for them. The average annual cost, according to Rover, for a healthy dog is between $610-$3555, with all kinds of factors in play within that range. Here is a list of the eleven breeds that rank at the top of the pricey pooch list.
  • French Bulldog ($2700-$5750) - Not only are these puppies expensive (especially the tri-colored ones), but they are also prone to health problems due to their flatter face.
  • Tibetan Mastiff ($2200-$5000) - These pups are extremely rare, so they are a pricey pup. Plus, their size requires a larger diet, which costs more throughout their life.
  • Samoyed ($1800-$4750) - These fluffy white dogs were bred for nomadic life in Siberia. If you bring one home, you'll have higher costs for grooming and keeping the dog entertained.
  • English Bulldog ($2000-$4600) - This breed is also prone to breathing difficulties because of its short snout. Skin problems are also a concern with this breed.
  • Irish Wolfhound ($2200-$4500) - These gentle giants are wonderfully loyal dogs, but they have a short life span and can suffer from many health issues as they age, like heart and liver defects.
  • Rottweiler ($1500-$4150) - Early training and socialization are important for these family protectors. The muscular breed is also prone to joint problems, so exercise is important.
  • St Bernard ($1000-$4000) - Food gets to be expensive for large breeds like this one. They are known as the nanny dogs because they are great with families but have a higher price tag as pups.
  • Great Dane ($975-$4000) - This large breed needs plenty of yard space, but they are loving and loyal. You may run into healthcare costs for eye problems and hip and elbow dysplasia.
  • Black Russian Terrier ($2100-$3800) - Bred to be a guard dog, this rare breed forms protective bonds with its owners. The double coat requires a lot of maintenance and grooming. Plus, they require a good amount of training and mental stimulation.
  • Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ($1600-$3750) - This is one of the most expensive small breeds. It's recommended to get a screening for some conditions, like Syringomyelia, but healthy pups live to be 12-15 years old.
  • Chow Chow ($875-$3325) - These puppies are expensive but relatively low-energy dogs with protective instincts. Grooming will be a high cost to keep their coats healthy.
