Making your own dog biscuits is great for the budget, plus you'll know exactly what your pup is consuming instead. These cheeseburger treats are sure to be a hit, and they are simple to make.
Cheeseburger Dog Biscuits
You'll need: One cup of quick oats, one cup of yellow or white cornmeal, one cube of beef stock, ½ cup of very warm water, two cups of whole wheat flour, one cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and one cup of water. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix oats, cornmeal, and stock cube in a large bowl. Add the warm water and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Stir in the flour and shredded cheese. Add additional water to make it a rollable dough.
- Roll the dough into a ¼ inch thickness and cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave the cookies in the oven until it cools. This dehydrates the biscuits, so they store better.
