November 1st celebrates National Cook for Your Pet Day, encouraging all of us dog parents to whip up something special for our pups. Cooking for your dog is great for so many reasons, but one of the best? Seeing how they light up when you hand over a big bowl of something tasty, different, and delicious! | To help you celebrate, here's a healthy, vet-approved mini omelette recipe to make for your dog today: | You'll need: | 2 eggs ½ cup cooked, thinly sliced salmon or pulled grilled chicken (if using chicken, ensure it's skinless and boneless) ½ green bell pepper, diced
| Directions: | Lightly grease a frying pan with extra virgin olive oil over medium-high heat. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk until mixed. Pour the eggs into the heated pan, tilting it to spread evenly. Once the eggs are halfway firm, sprinkle on the green pepper and salmon or grilled chicken. Fold the omelet in half with a spatula and cook until firm. Remove from the pan, let cool, and serve to your much-deserving pup!
