| | Look at These Unlikely BFFs | Meg is a yellow labrador who lives in the countryside. She loves playing in the wildflower fields. One morning, she was out for her daily stroll in the fields when she spotted a small creature running ahead. Meg slowly approached and found a baby bunny. The bunny didn't seem scared of this giant and then spent a minute sniffing and checking each other out.
After this initial meeting, the unlikely duo met daily in the fields. They chased butterflies together and enjoyed the fresh air. Even as seasons changed and the bunny grew up a bit, the pair stayed connected and played together. You just never know who will bond with your dog. Let these two melt your heart a bit today. |

| | | Beware of Foxtails! | Foxtail grasses are incredibly dangerous for dogs, and it's important for owners to understand and be on the lookout for them. Foxtail grass is a weed with sharp tips that can get lodged between dogs' paw pads, in their noses, ears, or even inhaled. The sharp barbs on the end resemble a fox's tail, which is how they got their name.
They are more common in the western half of the United States but can be found anywhere. They grow in the spring, reach full bloom in the summer, and die in the fall. They mostly grow in sunny areas.
If these ends get inside your dog's body, they don't break down and can lead to serious infections. To protect your dog, keep them out of overgrown, grassy areas. Make sure to check your dog after a walk for any seeds. If you notice any, gently remove them with tweezers or take them to the vet for help. Make sure to check your own yard for foxtails and remove them. Spread the word so your neighbors also get rid of any in their yard. |
