| | Stray Pup Rescued From Construction Site and on Her Way to Recovery | A stray dog now has a chance at her own happily ever after, thanks to a group of construction workers who lent a helping hand. These workers saw what anyone with a heart would: a dog in need. | The compassionate construction workers fed the neglected pup for two weeks and took it upon themselves to trap her safely at the home construction site. They knew she needed more help than they could provide, so they reached out to Dizzy Dog Rescue in Texas. | Five hours later, Dizzy Dog came to the rescue and carefully transported the stray pup to where they could give her the care she desperately needed. In the video they posted, you can see her looking so sad, without a wag of her tail, and probably wondering what is happening. She has obvious skin and eye infections, but she is beautiful nonetheless and is finally in the right hands. | The rescue shared two video updates and gave her a name: Demure, or Demi for short. Demi is still nervous and scared, but she's slowly starting to feel more comfortable. The video shows her eating with a good appetite (yay!) and even taking a treat by hand. She's also enjoying her new cozy bed – a small comfort in her new life. | During her first vet visit, Demi was diagnosed with heartworm, several parasites, and severe infections, but she's now on the path to healing. The video also shows her receiving some much-deserved love and pets. | With the love, care, and treatment Demi is going to receive, we're confident she'll make a full recovery and let her true personality shine soon. Her story is a beautiful reminder of the incredible difference a few good Samaritans can make in a dog's life. We're excited to follow Demi's journey and watch her blossom into the happy, healthy dog she's destined to be! |

| | | 9 Strangest Things Dogs Have Swallowed | We couldn't resist diving into some of the strangest – and admittedly funny—things dogs have swallowed. From dog forums to vet stories, we've gathered some real doozies. And don't worry, these pups lived to bark about it (even if their parents are still recovering from the vet bills). If you think your dog's naughty, this list might just make you rethink that and see your pup as an angel! | Rubber Ducks—Eight of Them!
| One mischievous Labrador named Benji didn't stop at just one rubber ducky. Nope, he downed eight! He managed to get rid of seven on his own, but the last bright yellow duck needed a vet's help to be removed surgically. And this wasn't his first rodeo—Benji had been to the vet 18 months earlier for swallowing a squeaker from a dog toy. Thankfully, Benji bounced back and will be ready for more mischief in no time. | | Sierra, a black lab with a taste for the finer things in life, decided to snack on her mom's diamond engagement ring and wedding band—together worth $23,000! The vet also found some rocks in her stomach. Sounds like Sierra will eat anything in her way! | | One dog dad was puzzled when his pup, Charlie, started beeping. Thinking the watch was under him, he flipped Charlie over, only to realize that the watch was inside of him! Luckily, Charlie managed to cough it up at the vet, avoiding surgery but not the X-ray bill. | An Entire Roll of Poop Bags
| A 6-year-old golden retriever was taken to the vet after her mom saw her munching on some plastic flowers. During the endoscopy, the vets found orange plastic material and had no idea what it was. Once they got a hold of it, they pulled out an entire roll of poop bags! It turned into a magic show as they kept pulling out bag after bag. Just when they thought the show was over, surgery was needed to clear the rest. | | A Bull Mastiff with a sudden loss of appetite was found to have swallowed his family's TV remote. After successful surgery, he was back to his usual hungry self—but let's just say he lost his TV privileges for a while. | | Dogs typically love socks—they're stinky and smell like their owners! But a 3-year-old Great Dane took it too far. He was rushed to the emergency animal hospital, where doctors found his tummy ache was due to swallowing 43—and a half—socks! After nearly two hours of surgery, the socks were removed, and the Dane was feeling much lighter. | | A 7-month-old Labradoodle named Oliver was taken to the vet when her dog parents had no idea why she was so sick—no appetite, vomiting, lethargy. After an endoscopy and thousands of dollars later, the vet pulled out a plastic T. rex toy. Is this what life with a dog and kids looks like? | | A pug named Ham had surgery to remove 60 hair ties from her stomach. 60 – most days I can't even find an extra one, how did Ham find that many? The usually feisty pug had been unusually quiet, and X-rays revealed why. Thankfully, the hair ties were removed and she's back to her trouble-making ways at home again. | | Coins aren't necessarily uncommon objects that vets find in dogs' tummies, but 133 coins? That's a new record! Charlie, a Bichon FrisΓ©, stunned vets when they discovered he had swallowed 133 coins. They were removed and tiny Charlie is back to being himself. We can't even imagine a dog going to town, coin after coin—wouldn't they stop after a few? I guess coins are tastier than we thought. | Do you have any stories about your pup swallowing something bizarre? We hope not — but if you do, we'd love to laugh about it with you! Send them over! |
